Walter Richardson is a seasoned Financial Advisor and Strategic Investment Professional with over fifteen years of experience in guiding clients toward financial success. Known for his strong fiscal qualifications and commitment to excellence, Walter has earned a reputation as a trusted source of financial guidance and prudent decision-making. He has consistently helped clients achieve their financial goals, leveraging his communication skills and dedication to client success.

Throughout his career, Walter has worked with some of the industry’s leading financial institutions, including Morgan Stanley, Vanderbilt Securities, and Wells Fargo Advisors. At Morgan Stanley, he managed assets for high-net-worth individuals and corporations, offering tailored financial advice to top tax bracket clients. His work at Vanderbilt Securities highlighted his community engagement skills and his ability to handle complex financial needs, while his time at Wells Fargo showcased his talent for expanding a diverse client base by delivering research-driven, personalized financial guidance.

Walter’s background is further distinguished by an MFA from UCLA, with a focus on film finance, enabling him to provide strategic financial advice to clients in the entertainment industry. He holds Series 7, 63, and 66 licenses and has earned the Sports and Entertainment Wealth Management Advisor (SE-AWMA®) designation, which equips him with specialized knowledge to serve high-net-worth clients in sports and entertainment. Active in professional circles and community organizations, Walter is affiliated with the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association, The Jonathan Ogden Foundation, and has served on the Board of Directors for A Place Called Home. Walter’s journey reflects a steadfast dedication to his clients’ well-being, blending experience, integrity, and a holistic approach to wealth management.


The Sports and Entertainment Wealth Management Advisor (SE-AWMA®) designation is offered by the College for Financial Planning® - a Kaplan Company. Individuals who hold the AWMA® designation have completed a course of study encompassing wealth strategies, equity-based compensation plans, tax reduction alternatives, and asset protection alternatives. The program is designed for approximately 135 hours of study and must be completed within 120 days from the date online access is provided by obtaining a score of 70% or higher on the course exam. Following initial conferment of one of the College for Financial Planning's professional designations, authorization for continued use of the credential must be renewed every two years by completing 16 hours of continuing education; reaffirming compliance with the Standards of Professional Conduct, Terms and Conditions; and complying with self-disclosure requirements.
